The assumption that you’re only interested in other countries and languages because of Hetalia.

*Has wanted to live in England since before the first Harry Potter film.* Though writing/cosplaying England has given me a bit of incentive, and allowed me to meet some new people, the want and dream was there for a long while.

*Used to want to live in England back when she was six and read the first Harry Potter book; became interested in French when Hermione said ‘bouillabaisse’ in one of the next books and made me really confused, because what the hell was a bouillabaisse? I was still a baby. WTF WAS A BOUILLABAISSE?*

Pffff, I’ve been sort of an angloboo/Anglophile when I was younger, like whoa.
(Also, a Russo- and Germanophile, but I dunno if these count in my case?)

But aside from that, I don’t think there’s anything wrong if people became interested in other countries/languages because of Hetalia :3 It means Himapapa did a good job!

Fascinated by Russia’s rich geological value before even knowing that there’s a cartoon character named Russia. ;3; 

/has always wanted to visit Italy ever since her best friend told her stories of living there back in 2005

but yeah, I’ve always wanted to travel too, and Hetalia just made that a bigger goal of mine! I’m slowly but surely learning the cultures and now I can name almost all the countries in Europe by memory! I actually thank Himapapa for giving the countries a face- now they’re easier to remember ;u;
